Description
Description
Are you looking for a beautiful, silky soft, and round rug? Then you should definitely check out our rug made from New Zealand long-haired lambskin. The round designer rug made from long-haired lambskin is perfect for the living room, for example, under your favorite armchair for extra luxury and comfort. These beautiful designer rugs are made from perfectly matched pieces of premium lambskin, which ensures the rug is perfectly harmonious.
The round lambskin rug is available in two different sizes: with a diameter of 180 cm or 250 cm. The smaller rug is therefore about 2.5 square meters, while the larger rug measures almost 4 square meters. The round rugs are available in several fantastic muted colors.
Except for the white variant, the furs should not be exposed to direct sunlight, as this can cause them to discolor over time.

Quality
The quality of a fur can be recognized in two ways. Firstly, high-quality furs have a denser pile than those of standard quality. Additionally, real furs shine and shimmer more in the light. We pay attention to both aspects, because only the best furs are selected for our assortment. For fur rugs, we also ensure that the individual fur pieces are carefully sewn together, so that superficially nothing is visible and also nothing can be felt when you step on it. Our quality promise is therefore kept if your rug has dense and shiny fur and looks as if it were made from one piece.
In the NATURES Collection Guarantee, we not only certify outstanding quality but also a sense of responsibility and conscientiousness towards people, animals, and the environment.
Care
Not much effort is needed to care for your rug optimally. To keep the wool nice and fluffy, you can regularly brush it with a lambskin brush, shake and beat the rug, and if necessary, vacuum it with a vacuum cleaner. However, you should proceed carefully and set the vacuum cleaner to the lowest setting. Also, make sure to turn the rug occasionally so that it is used and stressed evenly. Otherwise, furniture, in particular, can leave unsightly marks on the rug in the long term.
Do not clean the rug with chemical agents. In general, the fur should best be cleaned with water only, and only if you want to remove a stain. Otherwise, furs keep themselves clean well. For any stains, first try with a cloth moistened with warm water. The fresher the stain, the better. Dried-in stains can in some cases also be brushed out. Whenever water comes near your fur rug, please make sure that the leather of the fur remains dry. Comprehensive cleaning instructions and more care tips can be found in our blog.
Origin
On the other side of the world, in New Zealand, live Merino sheep, whose wonderful fur is not only used for wool of the finest quality, but it is also a popular decorative element in interior design. The lambskin tells a story of traditional sheep farming and furs whose quality can be determined by their name alone. This story is told to you when you hold the fur in your hand, admire its sheen, and run your hand over the soft wool. The story behind a product is just as important as the product itself at NATURES Collection.
Mentally travel and imagine a flock of sheep roaming the New Zealand landscape: mountains on the horizon, a blue sky above, and gleaming sunbeams warming the sheep's fur. This warmth is stored so that the fur can withstand cooler temperatures during nights outdoors. When an afternoon shower descends upon the flock, the raindrops simply bead off the sheep due to the natural wool grease. This keeps the fur both warm and dry. When you unpack your fur rug, you can feel the climate that created this wonder of nature.
When our flock's journey eventually leads to slaughter, it is only for local meat production. NATURES Collection consciously buys only hides that are by-products, so that no animal is killed solely for its fur. This way, we support animal-friendly husbandry – which is not given in slaughters solely for fur – and participate in the utilization of the entire animal, without waste.

Sustainability
A fur is not a product like any other in your living room, because it was once worn by a living being. The fur protected a lamb from wind and weather, keeping it warm and dry. Can you imagine that when you hold the lambskin in your hand?
If we become aware of this, it is not to feel guilty but to appreciate the value of a lambskin. The conclusions we draw from this represent the fundamental values of NATURES Collection. We strictly limit ourselves to trading in furs that are by-products of local meat production. By additionally purchasing only furs of the best quality, we sell you furs that last a long time and are not disposable products. With our comprehensive consulting services, we also ensure that you choose a fur that is right for you in the long term. Finally, our long experience confirms that the quality of a fur is directly related to animal welfare, and since both are equally important to us, this strengthens us even more in our pursuit of the best possible furs.
Trading in animal products comes with a responsibility that we are keenly aware of. This applies not only to animals but also to the environment. Reckless fur production is extremely detrimental to the environment. On the other hand, much can be saved and optimized here. We work tirelessly on this. This begins with tanning with salts instead of chemical agents and continues to the economical and cyclical use of water and the processing of the smallest fur remnants into valuable products such as seat covers.
