Which Lambskin Suits My Chair?
A genuine lambskin enhances almost any chair with its soft appearance and high comfort. Because nothing feels better than spending a pleasant evening with friends, surrounded by the softness and warmth of a genuine lambskin.
But how do you choose the right lambskin for a chair?
First, consider whether the hide should only serve as a chair pad or also cover the backrest. For the pure seat, a smaller pad is often sufficient and does not look as imposing as a normal lambskin. However, if you want to create a particularly cozy overall look, a larger lambskin is recommended.
To estimate the size, you can use this formula:
Backrest height + Seat depth + 10 or 15 cm
The additional approximately 10–15 cm should be included to ensure that the hide drapes loosely and fits well.
As a rule of thumb, we recommend a 90 to 115 cm long hide for classic dining chairs and 110 to 130 cm long hides for chairs with higher backrests.
