Shake regularly. But we have another rule of thumb for you: smooth-haired furs should be brushed occasionally, while curly furs only need to be shaken.
Washing a real lambskin should always be done with caution, as almost all furs cannot be machine washed. Even with machine-washable furs, it is very common for the hairs to felt and the leather to harden after drying.
Therefore, we recommend machine washing only in extreme emergencies. It is often much more sensible to treat stains directly and quickly, rather than washing the entire fur in the washing machine.

To ensure you can still enjoy your fur in ten years' time, we have put together three golden rules:
- Vacuum, shake or brush your product regularly
- Avoid direct sunlight for dyed products. This protects the fur from UV damage and possible color loss
- Treat stains and spills as promptly as possible
Caution when vacuuming
Regular vacuuming keeps the wool and fibers fresh and fluffy. Make sure to always set the vacuum cleaner to the lowest setting to avoid unnecessary damage.
Only vacuum furs with smooth hair. Smooth-haired lambskins also benefit from occasional treatment with a fur brush.
How to remove stains
How to remove stains
Small stains and spills can usually be easily removed with a cloth and a little lukewarm water with wool detergent containing lanolin. If this is not sufficient, please follow the care instructions for your product or contact our team for further assistance.
Please note: Always treat stains and spills as quickly as possible, as wet stains are easier to remove than dried-in ones. Also, remember to avoid direct sunlight due to UV radiation. Only natural furs are suitable for use in the sun.
Lambskin from New Zealand
New Zealand lambskins are available in two varieties: short-hair and long-hair. The short-hair variety is characterized by fine, curly wool, while the long-hair variety captivates with its long, straight wool.

- Have the curls disappeared? Revive them with this simple trick: Lightly moisten your hands and gently press various areas of the fur to reshape the curls. Then let the fur dry completely (see below).
