In 1981, sculptor Povl Kjer created the first rocking sheep for his niece to remind her of her rural roots. Shortly thereafter, serial production began, and today, thanks to its clean lines and the use of durable natural materials, the cute rocking sheep is considered one of the icons of Danish Design. This legacy is now continued by NATURES Collection in every handmade rocking sheep.

The rocking sheep is made from high-quality, durable materials. Originally conceived as an imaginative toy, it later becomes a symbol of cozy moments and fun-filled hours of childhood. The rocking sheep thus becomes a timeless heirloom, preserving happy childhood memories and bringing the warmth and security of the past into the present.

Wood and natural sheepskin

The wooden frame for the rocking sheep is carefully crafted by experienced carpenters at NATURES Collection. Through precise handwork, the rocking sheep gets its characteristic shape, making it an ideal companion for every adventure. Furthermore, it features elegant, curved lines and a charming head that give it a unique appeal. After processing, the body of the rocking sheep is padded and covered with high-quality, natural sheepskin from Iceland or Sweden. Each sheepskin is unique, meaning no two rocking sheep are exactly alike.
