The rocking sheep is both a toy and a piece of furniture. The frame is made of pine wood, and the body is padded with foam and covered with sheepskin. The pine wood comes from Swedish and Finnish forests and has traditionally been used in Scandinavia for furniture due to its good properties. The sheepskins come from Iceland and Sweden, where the sheep roam freely with their lambs in clean and unspoiled nature, which gives the skins their characteristic wild look.
Designed by Povl Kjer – Produced by NATURES Collection
Povl Kjer designed the first rocking sheep for his niece as a humorous reminder of her rural roots in 1981. The rocking sheep has become known as a Danish design classic and is now sold worldwide.
The Original Rocking Sheep is so durable that it can be used for generations. If a rocking sheep breaks, we repair it free of charge, no matter how old it is. We want the child to feel safe and comfortable with the rocking sheep, and we hope our customers enjoy receiving an honest product that has been manufactured with pride and care since 1981.
