Description
Description
The round designer sheepskin rugs are perfect for the living room, for example in front of the sofa for extra luxury and comfort. With its soft short hair, the rug is particularly easy to care for. Occasionally shaking it is sufficient, and if you brush the lambskin once a month with a lambskin brush, you would be doing your lambskin a great favour.
Except for the white variant, the furs should not be exposed to direct sunlight, as they can otherwise discolour over time.

Quality
The quality of furs, regardless of their country of origin or the animal, is determined by two things: first, does the fur shine, and second, is it nice and dense? We pay attention to both aspects when selecting the best furs for our collection. Stroke the fur to feel its density and place it in the right light to admire its shine. Another quality characteristic is how carefully the individual furs have been sewn together to form a large rug. If the rug is on the floor in front of you, can you not see the seam and also not feel it when walking over it, and does the rug appear to be made of one piece? Then we have kept our promise of quality.
NATURES Collection certifies outstanding quality with its in-house guarantee. This not only assures quality, but also responsibility and conscientiousness.
Care
If you care for your fur rug sufficiently, it will look like new for a long time, and it doesn't take much effort. Curly fur should not be brushed, and would be quite difficult given the shortness of the fur, but you can shake it out and beat it. You can also vacuum the rug without any problems, but you should set your vacuum cleaner to the lowest setting. Especially the sheared New Zealand fur is very easy to care for, so in this case, less is more when it comes to care.
You should also make sure to turn your fur rug from time to time so that it is not always exposed to pressure from, for example, a table leg in the same spot. Otherwise, after a while, marks may become noticeable on the rug, and the rug will no longer look new.
When removing stains, you should always first try with a damp cloth and without cleaning agents, making sure that the leather underside of the fur remains dry. Detailed cleaning instructions and care tips can be found in our blog.
Origin
New Zealand is a place many people dream of, and for good reason. Green expanses alternate with picturesque mountains and fantastically beautiful coastlines. With a lambskin rug, you bring a piece of this incomparable nature into your home, real and unfiltered. Authenticity is something we attach great importance to in our products, and so we also want to enable you to have the origin of your fur in mind while it adorns your home.
Take a moment to imagine a herd of Merino sheep moving across a vast, green meadow. Above you, a bright blue sky and sunshine warming the sheep's curly wool and drying earth and dirt, so that both simply fall off the thick pelts. At the end of a day, a safe shelter is found, while the moon shimmers on the white fur. Keep this image in mind when you welcome your fur rug into your home after a long journey from the other side of the world, and enjoy the smell and feel of distant lands as you unroll it.
When lambs and sheep are slaughtered at the end of their journey, this happens without exception as part of local meat production. Not a single NATURES Collection product comes from an animal killed for its fur. We adhere to this principle because, on the one hand, it is linked to the welfare of the animals and, on the other hand, because it allows us to reuse a waste product that would otherwise be disposed of.

Sustainability
With a lambskin, you have a product of a special kind in your living room: a product that was once worn by a living creature. Could you imagine, if you were to stroke the fur with your hand now, that this fur once protected a lamb from wind and weather?
When you become aware of this, you learn to appreciate the value of a fur in a completely different way, one that has nothing to do with a bad conscience. From this appreciation, we and NATURES Collection draw conclusions: All furs you find with us are by-products of local meat production. The animals were therefore not slaughtered for their fur. With a keen eye on the quality of the furs, we also only sell those that last a long time and advise you as best we can, according to the principle "one fur, a lifetime". We also know that the best quality can be directly derived from the well-being of the animal - happy animals have beautiful fur. When you stroke dense and shiny fur at home, it confirms the animal-friendly conditions under which the lamb was kept.
As a dealer of animal products, we bear responsibility, of which we are clearly aware. Our responsibility is not only towards the animals, but also towards the environment. Reckless fur production is harmful to the environment, and we must of course act and stand up against it. That is why we pay attention to tanning with natural agents such as salts, sustainable and recyclable use of resources, and minimal transport routes.
