The Rocking Sheep is both a toy and a piece of furniture. The frame is made of pine wood, and the body of the sheep is padded with foam and covered with genuine sheepskin. The pine wood comes from the forests of Sweden and Finland and has traditionally been used in Scandinavian furniture making due to its excellent properties. The sheepskins come from either Iceland or Sweden, where the sheep and their lambs roam freely in clean and untouched nature, which gives the pelts their characteristic look.

Povl Kjer designed the first Rocking Sheep for his niece in 1981 as a humorous reminder of her rural roots. The Rocking Sheep has become known as a Danish design classic and is now sold worldwide.

The Original Rocking Sheep is so durable that it can be used for generations. If a Rocking Sheep breaks, we repair it free of charge, no matter how old it is.
