Mohair wool is of outstanding quality, which is primarily evident in the fact that the fabric is breathable and repels water and dirt. The blanket is therefore very durable without showing significant signs of wear. A characteristic feature of mohair wool is that it absorbs other colors excellently. The blanket has been carefully woven from mohair wool (10%), acrylic (65%), and polyester (25%). This allows the wonderful quality of mohair wool to be enjoyed at an affordable price.

Care

Since mohair wool is a natural product, it keeps itself clean against bacteria and the like and does not necessarily need to be washed. Shake it out regularly, and if you also hang it outside to air out, you will be able to enjoy your blanket for a long time.

If you do feel that the blanket needs to be washed, we recommend doing so by hand and using a gentle, replenishing wool detergent. Make sure it contains natural lanolin (wool fat). Try not to rub or wring the blanket when washing. Afterward, hang the blanket to drip dry in a dry, well-ventilated room until it is completely dry.

Origin

Mohair is a silky soft yarn made from the exquisite wool obtained from the Angora goat. This breed of domestic goat originally comes from the Ankara region in Turkey, but today it is mainly raised in South Africa, as the climate there is most pleasant for the goats. The long and slightly curled wool is among the finest fleeces in the world and has great properties for everyday use. The high-quality wool can provide warmth in cool weather as well as absorb heat and provide cooling on hot days. This ensures that the blanket always maintains the right temperature for you.
