Description
Description
This special lambskin for babies comes from New Zealand and offers premium quality. It is particularly dense, soft, and has been gently tanned to be perfectly suitable for babies. Ideal for use in a stroller.
The sheepskin for babies is medically tanned to be odor-neutral, 100% clean, and incredibly soft. Medical tanning also means that the sheepskin can be machine-washed (if necessary). Due to medical tanning, the sheepskin gets its yellowish color, which is why a different tanning method is chosen for decorative sheepskins. However, for a lambskin for babies, medical tanning is always the best choice.
Like every other sheepskin in our selection, this baby lambskin also comes from NATURES Collection, the supplier of world's best quality sheepskins.
The lambskin is clinically tested. This means:
|
The Nordic Sheep baby lambskin is "Best in Test"!
The Nordic Sheep baby lambskins were rated "Best in Test". Their warming properties and naturalness, which makes lying on them a joy, were particularly highlighted. The baby lambskins are gently tanned without the use of harmful chemicals, so you can let your little treasure sleep and play on them without worry of harmful chemicals or bruises.

Care
A real lambskin is easy to care for - this is especially true for baby lambskin. Due to the natural properties of the lambskin, it does not require special care. However, we recommend that you shake out the sheepskin regularly and brush it occasionally.
Stains on the sheepskin can be removed with a damp cloth or a little wool detergent. And if an accident happens, the lambskin for babies can also be machine-washed. However, we only recommend this in extreme cases, as it can cause the leather to harden - even with medically tanned sheepskin.
If you choose to machine wash, wash the sheepskin at 30 degrees with a wool detergent containing lanolin and use the spin cycle.
A real lambskin should never be tumble-dried. Instead, it should dry with the hair facing down on a clothes horse in a well-ventilated room or outside under a roof. Regularly pull the sheepskin into shape while drying, and then brush the hairs with a fur brush.
Application
The special lambskin for babies offers diverse application possibilities. For example, place it on the floor to provide your baby with a safe, cozy, and warm play area. Or use it in the baby seat or stroller to make these moments even more comfortable.

Probably the most important aspect of this lambskin is that it is temperature-regulating. This lambskin naturally does so. If your baby is too warm, the lambskin has a cooling effect, and when it's cold, the lambskin will keep the child warm. Lambskin fits perfectly in the stroller, and almost every child has their baby lambskin until they are grown, and can pass it on to their own baby. Origin
The lambskin for babies is a Merino lambskin and comes from New Zealand. Merino sheep are known for their heavenly soft wool - something particularly important for a baby's sheepskin.
In New Zealand, the sheep roam freely through the breathtaking landscape. Under the care of experienced farmers, they always enjoy fresh air and graze freely on mountains and in valleys. This is crucial for the incredible quality of the sheepskins, because only happy animals have beautiful fur.
To ensure this quality, all NATURES Collection sheepskins are gently treated and carefully processed. From their origin in New Zealand to here in Denmark, they are exclusively supervised by experts who continuously monitor and ensure high quality.
Sustainability
Every sheepskin is a by-product of local meat production, which makes it inherently sustainable, as no additional resources are used for its production. If the sheepskin were not reused, it could be disposed of. To avoid this waste, all sheepskins at NATURES Collection are processed as much as possible - out of respect for the animal.
At NATURES Collection, sheepskins are carefully sorted by quality. Only the best sheepskins are selected and marked with the NATURES Collection logo. Approximately 20% of the sheepskins meet these high standards, while the remaining sheepskins are used otherwise or sold to industry, often under lower quality standards.
Sustainability is an integral part of the entire production at NATURES Collection. The company's experience has helped reduce water and energy consumption every year. Over 90% of the water is reused, and all used water is fully purified before being returned to the environment.
The sheepskins are tanned with salts and stored in salt to avoid the use of harmful chemicals. These and many other initiatives ensure that NATURES Collection sheepskins and fur products are particularly sustainable. Every sheepskin you find with us carries the NATURES Collection guarantee, which ensures not only the highest quality but also sustainability. Read more about it here.
