Description
Description
The English sheepskin has retained its natural color and shape, meaning each individual skin is unique. Consequently, this image here only shows an example of our English sheepskins. These are exceptionally soft, probably the softest sheepskins in our selection. The reason for this is that the hairs are very thin, but there are relatively more hairs per square centimeter, making them very dense.
The hair is naturally smooth and between 5 and 8 cm long. The sheepskin consists of one piece and measures at least 100x60 cm. It is large compared to our other sheepskins but still a practical size to fit on various pieces of furniture.
Usage
English sheepskin is ideal for making a chair more comfortable, thanks to its dense hair. You can also place it on a sofa, bench, or armchair, and it will be a highlight in your living room or dining room. The dark brown suits many different colors and color schemes.
The color is natural, so you don't have to worry about it fading if you expose the sheepskin to direct sunlight. Therefore, you can also use the sheepskin outdoors, for example, on a bench on your balcony or in the garden. Especially on a crisp morning or for a summer night, it's nice to have something warm to sit on.
Origin
The mild English climate gives the sheepskin its essential characteristics, as the sheep roam across green fields their entire lives. Their well-being is a central part of our philosophy, and to ensure this, we only work with experienced farmers who share our values. We source the sheepskins as a natural byproduct of local meat production. We transform them into valuable products and, in doing so, ensure that no animal product is wasted. Our products are of high quality and can last a very long time, as this, in our view, is the responsible way to handle animal products.
Care
We recommend that you regularly shake out and brush your sheepskin. You can also clean it with a vacuum cleaner on a low setting, but avoid washing it, as this would affect the structure of the sheepskin. If there are stains on your sheepskin, you can remove them with a damp cloth or, if they have already dried, treat them with a brush.
